This past weekend was the second and final weekend of Star Wars Days at LEGOLAND California. I am exhausted to say the least but I am grateful for all the builders that came and put their MOCs on display for the public to enjoy.
One of the big question marks I had of having Star Wars Days over two weekends was what the MOC turnout was going to be like. We were very front-heavy, meaning there were a lot more models to show the first time around (about 150) than this past weekend (around 50-60). Since this was the first time LEGOLAND California did a two-weekend event, it was a good learning experience.
Many builders came for both weekends and a couple of people that came new this weekend. We had the same building categories and fewer entries but there was still enough new things to show off. Here they are:
It was great fun. Terrific MOCs by all. It was great to see everyone and meet some new people. Ace did a yeoman’s job on this and should be lauded. Can’t wait for next year.
