Most Pokémon designs you can sort of squint your eyes at them and see where the inspiration came from. I think its just human nature to make an association of a fantasy creature to a real world animal.
Shiny Clamperl
Shiny Clamperl, number 175 of 393, arrive at 128 SOS calls, and looks like an oyster with a couple of pearls inside. Seems innocent enough. Clamperl has two evolved forms.
Shiny Gorebyss
Shiny Gorebyss is one of those forms, obtained when Clamperl is traded while holding a Deep Sea Scale. Looks like a friendly eel of some kind doesn’t it? Not too bad
Shiny Huntail
Shiny Huntail, though, is the other form, obtained when Clamperl is traded while holding a Deep Sea Tooth. Now this is just nightmare fuel because the head is disproportionately large. Its large mouth looks like its just designed to inflict pain and/or eat its prey whole. It looks like something you’d see at the bottom of the deepest part of the ocean, just a strangely evolved creature that you don’t want to mess with.
